Together Everyone Achieves More

The first SCBWI Victoria/Tas/SA Creative Weekend Escape in Maldon is this weekend where I will be joining thirty writers, illustrators, presenters, publishers and editors in what can only be described as total creative self-indulgence.

We will working to advance our craft, share our love of children’s books, whilst escaping the day-to-day responsibilities of home. I’ll miss my family but be grateful for uninterrupted me time. To workshop with other Creatives can only be described as exhilarating, you really feed off each other, and there is much to learn from the experience of one another. Inspired by a visit to my author and illustrator friend Nicky Johnston today and my upcoming weekend I made this little quote pic and have started a quote journal-a bit of light fun.

I hope to share some gems with you upon my return.
